Steam host Chiefs in Game 3 tonight

Even at a game a piece, the Summerland Steam look to use home ice advantage to take a 2-1 series lead over the Kelowna Chiefs.

After taking the opening game of their Kootenay International Junior Hockey League second round series 2-1, the Steam dropped Game 2, 5-3.  The Chiefs scored twice on nine power-play opportunities, the second goal by Devin Sutton proved to be the eventual winner.

Scoring for the Steam were Tyson Conroy, Cory Loring and Mitchell Gove with a short handed tally. Jared Breitkreuz made 34 saves on the night.

Puck drop on today and tomorrow’s game is 7:30 p.m. at the Summerland Arena. Tickets $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and Family Packs are $25.
